The best hotels in the world to get naked

By Alison Godfrey

Royal Zambezi Lodge Zambia
This is the view from the Royal Zambezi Lodge Zambia. Imagine watching this from your bathtub.

PRINCE Harry famously bared the crown jewels to Vegas from the window of his hotel room. Admit it, you want to do it too.
Some hotels are better than others to get your gear off. So here we've scoured the world and found the best hotels to go naked. Even if you are a prude, some of these will inspire you to ditch the dacks for a while.

Imagine a copper freestanding bathtub where you can watch the hippos and elephants. The stuff of dreams? No it’s real at the Royal Zambezi Lodge in Zambia.
The Deluxe Suites features a bath and a private plunge pool and a shower on the balcony overlooking the Zambezi River. If you can’t afford to take the deluxe option you could always book a classic room and a treatment at the spa. After a massage you can take a dip in the plunge pool or outdoor spa and watch the resident flora and fauna strut their stuff in the river.

The Arcana Izu Japan's Izu Peninsula
Rated at four to five stars by travellers on TripAdvisor this hotel is probably one of the best places to get naked on our list.
Every room in this hotel comes with a private open-air hot-spring bath or onsen on the balcony.
Inside the rooms enormous floor to ceiling windows enable you to look out onto the Japanese forest. And there’s an open fireplace to let your skin dry off after your dip in the onsen. Why bother packing clothes?

THEhotel at Mandalay Bay on The Strip, Las Vegas, Nevada
It looks just like any other Vegas hotel. A casino, rooms with an amazing view and a pool. But it’s the “Toptional™ beach” at Moorea Beach Club that gets this hotel onto the list. It’s so good apparently that they have trade marked it.
Located on a perch overlooking the sprawling Mandalay Bay Beach complex the Morea Beach club is described as a “private, sophisticated European bathing experience”.
The hotel offers cushioned chaise lounges, poolside massage services, private dipping pools and the most attentive personal attendants in Las Vegas. And the best news – no kids or teens. You have to be 21 to enter.

The Banyan Tree Bangkok
The Banyan Tree makes five stars look like three. The service and the food are simply amazing. And if you want to experience a bit of nudity, their spa is certainly the space to strip off.
Located on the 21st floor of tower two, the spa showers have the most incredible view over the city of Bangkok. One wall of the shower is in fact the window. If you are a little prudish, don’t worry – you can look out, but people can’t see in.
And if you feel peckish after your little display of freedom, the Vertigo restaurant will certainly get your blood running. It’s an open air restaurant on top of the building. Clothing must be worn here though.

Andaz San Diego, San Diego, California, USA
This hotel is another of Prince Harry's favourites. It offers a “sex kit” with condoms, massage oil and a vibrator.
If you’re really keen on having a good time we suggest booking the two-bedroom Andaz Star Suite. The shag-piled master bedroom has king-size bunk beds, a mirrored ceiling and a stripper pole. Yes, a stripper pole.
Sandiego Andaz Hyatt

Fleming House, Goldeneye, Jamaica
If the title hasn’t given it away, this hotel is the ultimate place to indulge in a little James Bond fantasy. The three bedroom house built on a cliff overlooking Oracabessa Bay on the Jamaica’s north coast was designed by Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond novels. It’s here that he wrote all 17 books.
Flemming House is the most luxurious property at the Goldeneye resort. It features a signature GoldenEye claw foot tub, outdoor shower and even an outdoor sink. If that doesn’t fit your budget the four other villas on the estate still have suitably Bond Girl names such as Vesper, Domino and Solitaire. If you can’t get naked here, where can you?

Reethi Rah Resort the Maldives
The One&Only Reethi Rah is home to 130 private villas discreetly placed along the shore. The best for stripping off have to be the Water Villas set above the clear, protected waters of the lagoon.
Netting suspended like hammocks from its edges are perfect for breezy topless sunbathing and each villa has steps into the ocean for a cheeky private skinny dip.

W hotel New York
If you’re going to be in Times Square on New York, this hotel is fantastic for watching the ball drop. Or dropping your own dacks.
Live out a Gossip Girl fantasy in the Extreme WOW suite - yes, that is what it is called. The room features a wraparound outdoor terrace complete with a pool table, a sprawling daybed and cedar cocoon chairs.
Inside there is a marble-topped wet bar where you can mix your own cocktails and when you fancy a pajama-less lie down rest comfortably in the king-sized W bed with silky 350-thread count linens and goose-down comforter.

Royal Davui resort Fiji
A bed, a pool, and nothing but blue ocean. That’s the Royal Davui Resort in Fiji. Wake up to the sound of the waves. Have a skinny dip in your private plunge pool before breakfast. It’s pricey, sure. But it’s so relaxing it’s worth it.

The Adelphi Hotel Melbourne
OK, so this one might not be exactly legal nudity, but it’s worth a shot. The Adelphi Hotel in Melbourne features a lap pool on the roof that overhangs the city. You could skinny dip high above the crowds and no-one would know. We didn’t tell you to do it though.

Tamarind Resort Maleny Australia
We’re told this resort has a track leading down to a rainforest waterfall. If you get down there early enough you will have the place to yourself and can shower naked with only the birds to watch.

*********
Hotels and resorts jumping on the nudist bandwagon after the Prince Harry hotel incident offering close option activities for guests from high risers looking over a city to resorts with hot spring baths on private balconies and for nudist who want a few extras like a stripper pole and a sex kit in your room, at the Andaz in San Diago. These hotels are being innovative advertising how you can bare all I think it is an interesting keeping up with current events offering relaxation I’m not so sure what the sex kit would be of much use to anyone but a good laugh though.
