If you've ever wanted to stay in a spaceship, the Capsule Hotel in
the Netherlands may let you live out your fantasy. Not a spaceship, but
a recycled TEMPS (totally enclosed motor propelled survival craft)
often used in offshore drilling. It offers a cosy and offbeat place to
rest your weary bones while in the Netherlands.

The insides are sparse with a simple hammock to rest in the basic
capsule for 70 euro per night. Upgrade to a toliet for 100 euro and the
ultra-luxe capsule for 150 euro, complete with sheepskins, cushions,
champagne, a DVD player with a complete collection of 007 films, and a
disco ball. To find out how to rent one of these pods, check out their site.
The website states that the pods are currently docked in the Hague
for now. want to check and see if they'll be available for your next
stop in the Netherlands.

This hotel is
really cool not an entirely new idea but still very unique I thought this was
something different because of the look of the rooms themselves are not what is
expected. They are nothing like the capsule hotel in Japan there seems to be a
bit more room in these. With the bright
orange they look more like flying saucers in shape and also the idea of having
them on the water as floating or on land if you want is intriguing. The inside
contains a hammock not a bed also a surprising turn you think there would be a
lot of swaying around in the water. The capsules hotels are more than
interesting but is that enough to want to spend a night inside I wouldn’t want
to they seem to be more of a novelty than a nice place to spend the night. Although
some may enjoy a night in a pod sleeping on a hammock their own disco ball and
DVD player and 7 movies to choose from for 150 euro a night.
